I manage my family's portfolio the same way I'd manage yours
Most advisers manage other people's money on paper. I have personally navigated ESOP vesting, tax planning, repatriation decisions, and reinvestment across asset classes — not as theory, but as real decisions with real money at stake.
My family portfolio spans direct equity, mutual funds, AIFs, global investments, and real estate. I have made consistent, compounding gains across market cycles — including through the 2020 COVID crash, the 2022 rate shock, and the 2024 election volatility. That experience informs every conversation I have with clients.
20+ years in financial markets — mostly on the other side of the table
My career was in institutional financial services — over two decades at Societe Generale, working across structured products, risk, and client advisory in a global context. I have extensively invested in Indian markets across multiple market cycles — made money, recovered from losses, and diversified globally. Through my years at SocGen I have had direct exposure to sophisticated products: structured notes, swaps, and deal origination flows. That experience gives me a working understanding of how money moves through complex instruments to create returns for investors — not just the theory, but the actual mechanics. A lot of this is being reinforced now through partnerships with global External Asset Managers who have access to well-researched fund houses and experienced stock pickers. It is this combination — personal investing experience, institutional product knowledge, and strong external partnerships — that I believe makes me a better adviser to clients.
Since 2025, I have been building mywealth.fit while completing the SEBI Investment Adviser qualification pathway. The certifications are the regulatory requirement. The knowledge came from two decades of watching markets, managing money, and — crucially — making my own financial decisions with the same tools I now discuss with clients.
I have also spent time in offshore wealth advisory for the Indian diaspora — working with HNI and UHNI clients on cross-border financial planning, offshore investment structures, and the specific complexity that comes with money spread across jurisdictions.
Fee-only. No commissions. No conflict.
I do not earn commissions on products I recommend. A commission-based adviser is incentivised to sell you the fund or insurance that pays them the most. A fee-only adviser is paid by you, for advice that serves you. Under SEBI's Investment Adviser regulations, registered advisers are required to maintain this separation — it is not just a preference, it is a legal obligation.
My income comes from advisory fees — either a flat fee per engagement, or a percentage of assets under advice. This means when I recommend a direct mutual fund over a regular plan, I earn nothing from the AMC. The saving on expense ratio goes entirely to you.
